In Vilariño Dental Clinics we use piezoelectric systems (ULTARASONIC SURGERY), avoiding injuries to soft tissue;protecting gum and all the surrounding tissues, as well as other tissues such as nerves and blood vessels.  This leads to better postoperative phase, fewer side effects, more patient comfort, and less recovery time.

 

 

Tele radiography

 

Together with panoramic radiography, it is necessary for the planning and study of orthodontic treatments. Without this instrument it is impossible to locate the cephalometric study points to evaluate the prognosis and the evaluation of the orthodontic studies. On the other hand, it allows us to know the permeability of the airways, occupation of the maxillary sinuses, malocclusion or even positioning of the wisdom teeth.

The CONE BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY renders better quality images, capture the maxilla and the mandible in one take, with a dose of radiation six times lower than classic TAC and at half the cost.We consider it very important to be able to have this diagnostic method in our clinics.  It is highly accurate, allows for sound planning of implantology, and provides data of high interest both for cystic pathology and oral surgery.

Having technologysuch as the CBCT, we could export files without any loss of information and allowsus to make the best splints for both surgical and orthodontic use, optimize occlusion treatment and pathology of the temporomandibular joint.  More need to export reliable and real medical files are necessary to perform complicated treatment.

 

Surgery and Electric Cautery

It´s the burning of part of a body to remove or close off a part of it in a process called cautery. Thisdestroys some tissuesin an attempt to mitigate damage, remove an undesired growth, or minimize other potential medical harmful possibilities such as infections, when antibiotics are not available.We have been using electro-bistoury for many years.  This technology allows us to make cuts that do not bleed in different surgical interventions.

In addition it allows us to cauterize, “weld” little bleeding blood vessels which hamper the aesthetic work using composites, hindering its adhesion and causing color change over time. It is also useful in other surgical interventions where heavy bleeding could impede vision.
